Facts. Don’t they both have situations with Roc Nation? I’m not sure tho.

I seen them Live in Philly a few years ago with my kid, they are super talented…especially Willow, she sounds just as pitch perfect on stage live as she does on record, crazy. Both pretty good guitar players too, again, especially Willow. I can tell they got the best training and all that. Will popped out at the show, shhit was craaaaaaaaaaziness.
yeah they had that old school artist development on account of having access to so many professionals in their formative years*

We was listening to 2 Live Crew and DJ Jimi back in the day

It must be your ass, cause it ain't your face..

Big booty hoes comewiddit

It's the middle school females that was running to the dance floor FIRST. (Now what middle school DJ was allowed to play that in the first place...).

Everybody clutching pearls, when they came up on WORSE, and have been profiting from making hip hop more sexually degrading and more violent.

At this is at the same time, both crime and teenage pregnancy have gone down.....

Mr telephone man type dudes.. SMH

He’s talking about the urban market tho, right? Or nah? K-Pop is huge with us?? I genuinely don’t know, I wouldn’t think so tho..

I work at a majority black elementary school. K pop is extremely popular with black children..well ones who don’t listen to the ratchet shyt

They have Taylor Swift, Titty Eilish, Olivia Rodriguez and Sabrina Carpenter

Billie Ellis last album was about her falling in/out of love with her girlfriend and wanted to see her naked.
Although Sabrina Carpenter hides it pretty well, her last two albums are pretty much about her fukking random dudes she meets at the club.
Olivia's debut was great but it was all about her stalking her ex boyfriend.
Taylor is the safest bet for teens.

He’s right. When I was 10-12 it was Bow Wow vs Lil Romeo and nikkas was dancin n shyt, even the uncoordinated ones. Good ole harmless fun. What happened to all those dancing kids btw? I feel like before and around Covid there was a lot more kids focusing on dancing and shyt.

Did ALL of them grow up and decide to be rappers? Like them dab of ranch dancing brothers turned into the most generic shytty rappers instead of just dancing and having fun. The culture is wack. Even nikkas with talent get redirected into being another fukk nikkaaaaaa lmao

To Jermaine's credit, he did make music for teens via Kriss Kross and Bow Wow, but he isn't keeping it 100. Even then, the teen scene in Hip Hop was frowned upon. It had a short shelf life and even though Kriss Kross and Bow Wow were selling millions, there was still kids who preferred the albums with parental advisory sticker.

In R&B, it was more acceptable as there was not really a difference in regard to subject matter. Usher, Tevin Campbell, Aaliyah, Brandy, and Monica were singing about the same thing as their older male and female counterparts. There were some differences though because CrazySexyCool TLC was way different than the TLC introduced on their debut. Far more adult and more serious in look, sound, and overall aesthetic. They no longer were a teen/kid act and was more in the Adult Contemporary lane by the second album. Not saying that teens/kids abandoned them, but they definitely were different.

This is a west coast version of what JD is talking about. This album was released in 2005

i know, i'm being what i thought was obviously cheeky.
but yeah basically the OMG girlz type ish... which is a group where an actual toy company bootlegged their image for toy dolls.
they grew to adulthood a few years ago but i don't see why there needs to be a constant crop of kiddie acts. just let it happen organically :manny:
cuz i don't think it was a major thing prior to maybe the 80s

JD is right and at the same time wrong. The music elevated beyond the labels. You have children listening to afrobeats, kpop, and Yung whatever the hell. The industry back then strive for labels and what is easily marketed.

For a teen bop singer, there was tours, shows, merch and etc. nowadays it doesn't work like that given how oversaturated the industry is.

Then you got to factor the endgame of the music industry and the powers that be. They are literally trying to groom the children into adulthood. Meaning, the WAP songs and the messages from artists can kill what Innocence a child and teen has. Leading to some changes in laws and regulations that will lead chills down your spine.

This is wild orchestrated on purpose as the music industry can easily influence the masses, especially the youth.
