Let's stop for a second and get back on track....

A) I do not recall Tim talking about this for a "long time"
B) He did not bring this up because he's pissed about HOF snub. He brought this up to stick up for Barret Robbins and why he went AWOL.

Barret Robbins begged the coach not to change the game plan on Friday to no avail... coincidentally shortly thereafter, he went AWOL and went on a binge

Tim was just basically framing context as to why Robbins went AWOL

Regardless of if he did sabotage or not, it was apparent that Callahan hated the Raiders.

Let's not forget that he coined the phrase "Dumbest team in America" during that super bowl season

moral of the story - nobody liked working for al davis. i'm just thankful that he's finally stepped aside (voluntarily or not) so real competent football minds can put together a winning team.

it should come as no surprise that I actively boycotted spending any doe on the team as long as Al remained in charge. and it's also no coincidence that the 1st season after Al passed, I purchased season tickets

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
A coach tanked a Super Bowl intentionally....yeah ok

i think you are all taking it too literally. he's not saying, he went out there and said, "i'm gonna lose this on purpose" shyt he could have called the same play 20 times in a row if it was that easy.

i think its more of the point that you practice all week. from what i get, practice seems to be the most important thing ever, even when you do it all season. they have a set time to practice and in that time they can only practice but so many plays. and the defense must also practice against certain things. add in game film, watching a person's moves, learning who you're going up against and what to exploit and what to take advantage of.............. etc etc etc

then 2 days before, suddenly the coach says, fukk it. everything we worked on, throw it out the window.. everything you learned about what to do, we gonna do the opposite.

that throws a wrinkle in the game and like tim said, never in his history has a coach thrown out a gameplan on a friday. that should tell you something

it'd be like studying american history.. the teacher said the final will be on 1800-1900.. you study all week.. then on thursday she says it'll be on 1900-2000 instead. you might have learned it all, but you weren't focused or refreshed on that shyt all week. matter of fact you stuffed your head full useless info on top of that

Should have been the Eagles winning that Super Bowl and not Tampa :sadbron:

:to: I don't wanna talk about this ass whooping. The GOAT and one of the best WR's say Callahan fukked up the game plan that they were working on for 2 weeks, but now all of a sudden the coach wants to change literally everything in a span of 2 days, nothing weird about that? Even if we did the power running gameplan, we would have lost, the Bucc's Defense was too much, Derrick Brooks was a fukking beast, and Warren Sapp was killing it and Dexter Jackson was killing it. That Bucc's D was too much, and they had our coach that practically knew everything about the Raiders, but this shyt just pisses me off even more. :smh: Why can't the Raiders be in the news for something good? :sadbron:

fukk em breh, let em keep bashing us. Joy wouldn't feel so good if it wasn't for pain. When (If? :sadcam:) we're good again, it'll be the gift that keeps on giving. Sonnin & shuttin up some of these corny teams, fans & analysts will make all this pain worth it.

But for now, the only joy I get out of watching the Raiders, is when I'm controlling them on madden.

:whoa: let's not revise history here now. Nebraska clearly wasn't sending TOP talent to the league a few years prior to Callahan taking over.

:what:

There's nothing to revise. Facts is facts.

First, let's not attempt to change what I said. I said:

Oh, and NEVERMIND that the Huskers were ALREADY sending top talent to the league prior to that.

I didn't quantify it with any specific time period.

YOU said "a few years prior to..."...huge difference, so you're making your OWN point there, not mine (besides, there's a SEPARATE and logical explanation as to why the talent didn't eminate from the program shortly before Callahan's arrival, and it has to do with Frank Solich...and it should be no surprise that it coincides with Nebraska's subsequent fall from grace…but that’s a convo for another thread).

My point is, prior to Callahan's arrival, Nebraska had a 30-year history of churning out not just NFL talent, but Hall of Fame level talent, Pro-Bowl caliber talent, on a consistent basis.

I'd be happy to provide evidence to support same, but I don't even think it's necessary.

As a Gator fan, I would think you'd remember some of that defensive talent....

 I got cha. I read that separately from your prior sentence in where you said what worked for the last 40 years :ehh:

anyway...fukk Nebraska. I've never forgave y'all for the 96 Fiesta Bowl :damn:

And you know what??? I remember that 06 game y'all had against USC. On offense...y'all didn't even TRY. It was like y'all played NOT to get blown out. I was disgusted
