Let me but this in perspective for you...
THE CREATOR of Seinfield the sitcom signed a BILLION DOLLAR DEAL...
Larry David gets a billion for the rights to the show...

So it's not unrealistic to see Jerry Seinfield be worth 800 million
The show was extremely popular he was getting a milly an episode during it's peak and with syndication deals and dvd sales it's not that hard to see...

You people don't seem to understand actors get a flat salary upfront and if it surpasses a certain gross then they end up getting the back end and a little bit of the DVD sales if they are really established. Will only got 5 million for ID4. The real money goes to the writers.
The money is going to whoever put up the money to film the movie in the first place.... whoever is willing to take that risk (or can afford to take the risk) is the one who is going to reap that reward.

ya'll underestimate the amount of money the Seinfeld cast was making back in the day and the kind of money they got from syndication rights. PLUS once you reach a certain amount of wealth, if you're not spending it on dumb shyt like hoes cars and overly expensive houses in areas that don't increase in value, you're investing.

Chris Rock:

I will give you an example of how race affects my life. I live in a place called Alpine, New Jersey. Live in Alpine, New Jersey, right? My house costs millions of dollars. [some whistles and cheers from the audience] Don't hate the player, hate the game. In my neighborhood, there are four black people. Hundreds of houses, four black people. Who are these black people? Well, there's me, Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z and Eddie Murphy. Only black people in the whole neighborhood. So let's break it down, let's break it down: me, I'm a decent comedian. I'm a'ight. [applause] Mary J. Blige, one of the greatest R&B singers to ever walk the Earth. Jay-Z, one of the greatest rappers to ever live. Eddie Murphy, one of the funniest actors to ever, ever do it. Do you know what the white man who lives next door to me does for a living? He's a fukking dentist! He ain't the best dentist in the world...he ain't going to the dental hall of fame...he don't get plaques for getting rid of plaque. He's just a yank-your-tooth-out dentist. See, the black man gotta fly to get to somethin' the white man can walk to.

I love Chris Rock and I think he's one of the funniest muthafukkas alive but this is the dumbest fukkin shyt ever.

First of all no one knows how hard that man had to work or the sacrifices he had to make in order to become a dentist. It's not like getting a job at Target. You have to work hard. You have to go to school. You don't just "walk" to become a dentist let alone make it to the very top of your field. Not every dentist has it like that where they got celebrities for neighbors. So obviously this guy worked his way to the top and attracted the right clientele either through hard work and dedication or by truly being one of the best at his trade... or both.

Second, he's a fukkin dentist. He has a very important job. People need dentists. So I don't see the need to downplay what he does for the sake of making a racially fueled joke. Oh he's just a yank your tooth out dentist?? Okay well then I guess that makes Chris Rock just a "tell jokes on stage" comedian. The nerve of a fukkin ENTERTAINER - the most overpaid profession there is - to cry foul that he had to "work harder" than the next man (white OR black) to get where he is or that he's somehow achieved more because he's famous.

Maybe Hov could make that joke cause he legit came from the bottom of the bottom and hustled his way to the top using his trade and his business acumen. Meanwhile Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy get cut a million dollar check to lay vocals down for CGI animals. Sounds like they're the ones that "walk" to what most people have to "fly" to.

Cliffs:
Patrice said that its interesting how they are celebrating how Seinfeld can own 200 cars and convert a Building in NY into a personal a garage . He said if 50 cent owned 200 cars and converted a building into a garage cacs would loose their mind. He summed it up by saying "Black people who spend money are called frivolous, white people who spend money called are collectors"...

Racist ass cac aint even acknowledge the truth Patrice said then continues to say "You should hire a n*gger to work here" "You should get a n*gger to steal the car and collect on the insurance money"...good shiit but please don't link no more O&A shows, they are unbelievable biased and racist. I don't want to listen to them even if Patrice is there.

Even Leo da gawd is apparently only worth $220m. I'm calling bullshyt on these estimates. :wtf:

Martin Lawrence is worth $110 million most likely because he OWNED and PRODUCED "Martin".

And his movies were no where near as hot as WIll's (Bad Boys not included), Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, AND even Chris TUcker.

nikkas in Hollywood and everywhere else don't know the importance of owning the rights to your creations. Aaron McGruder found that out the hard way when the "powers that be" kicked him out of his OWN project! Kevin Grevioux as well! He co-created Underworld, and he was ONLY in the first movie. He was weeded out of every sequential movie afterwards.

Seinfeld and David were the two creators for the show.

Both Seinfeld and David benefited from the $1.7 billion sale of "Seinfeld" into syndication. While Forbes acknowledged that they may not see all of the money for a few years, it credited them with the whole amount in 1998.

Nah, he could have a trust fund :ld: . Whites have GENERATIONS of wealth, something black people does not have. Wife could also have generational wealth with a hotshot job in some board of a fortune 500 company. That's not just "working harder". His clients could be the richest in NYC. Mary J could be one of this clients. :comeon: Black dentists in the hood can't afford to live in Alpine NJ.

Right let's just downplay the accomplishments of hard working people and chalk it up to "generational wealth". Because as I'm sure you know wealth is just one of the many things that guaranteed with white privilege. :aicmon:

And if he got that type of clientele that means he had to work for it first. Just like Avon and Stringer had to work to scoop up all the best corners. That shyt don't come free.

But if making assumptions about other people's success makes you feel more comfortable then by all means keep throwin shade.
