the problem with analytics is they are too biased.

why don't they take into account level of competition you played against?
why don't they take into account your team-mates skill level?
it doesn't take into account how terrible your conference or division is.

NOTHING but basic ass box score stats cramped into a bunch of formulas with random numbers plugged into it here and there.

You do realize that you are using analytics to determine that such qualifiers are even necessary, right? :what:

You kobestans use analytics for all of your arguments. The analytics are just cherry picked and unable to be consistently applied to the whole population because the desired results won't be achieved.

Unbiased statistical models never rank Kobe as high as you would like so you reject them. But analytics is not a practice of using PER or box +/- to rank players historically. Your insistence on arguing it like that just shows your insecurity and lack of understanding.

Except the warriors have one of the largest analytic teams :coffee:

Do you need analytics to tell you that kd curry klay and nutcracker are nice

Not saying analytics don't have a place they do but some people act as if it's law

Breh. fukking stop. There's no statistics that take those 3 criteria created by you just now to show "What they don't do" into account. While I'm not swearing by hollinger statistics they're not "random numbers", it's encompassing the data that's there from the the players accrued statistics.

How do you even measure team mates skill level?......analytics and statistics.

if analytics are "too biased", then what are the opinions of individuals discrediting their effectiveness? Ya'll start threads and speak on something before you even have a diplomatic understanding of what you're railing against.

baby, that was the old me
That should have been the natural order of things...same shyt with Steph.

KD is a BETA bytch nikka BY HEART.;

The misconception was that since he's taller and more effecient that HE should be the star, he felt entitled but OKC knew who he really was, and who was really the leader.

Look at him in GSW...I mean objectively, is he the "best" player? SUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...no question...but he is NOT the leader of that team and will be their downfall if there is one. The same dynmatic that he has with Steph (better player objectively, still second banana) is the same dynamic that was there with Russ....it's just the press would rather prop up the humble p*ssy made one out the clique and shame the one with all the real juice.

He wanted to play off the ball and basically be a set shooter...he coulda did that in OKC.....the problem is that "my turn, your turn" strategy would fall flat when HE, unlike Russ couldn't overpower the nikkas guarding him. You figure he's such a perfect offensive weapon that he should be able to do what Russ can do and more but that's not the case....he'd catch the ball on the wing and somebody would get in his long ass way...he too big to put his head down and really will himself to the basket so Russ gets blamed for not getting it to him in his spots...we seen him pull that shyt in GSW, demanding the ball in ISO...KD is nice but he ain't got the will.

He went to GSW to be Stephs bytch and if they do win he'll look like he was just along for the ride. HE'S THE ONE WHO SHOULD HAVE ADJUSTED HIS GAME AND DEFERRED TO RUSS , everybody else thinks it was the other way around but uh uhh...

No way KD should ever have to defer anybody.

Russ cost him how many series with his his terrible decision making

You not getting it homeboy. He's having some of the same issues with Curry...there is a pattern of him being objectively the best player on a team that he is not the leader of. If there were adjustments to be made betweeen KD and RUSS, he should have been the one adjusting. I watched the fukking games breh, KD was ramping up on defense and Donovan hadn't had time to gel with the team and the new system.

He coulda fell back from ISO's out at the 3 point line, played off the ball, got open looks and continue to ramp his defense up. Coulda got the same fukkin numbers, less wasted possessions if him trying to GOATBROOK his way to the basket, he ain't got the will for that. Russ got the will...and a much better coach than they had all those years with Scott Brooks.

He's regrets/is going to regret leaving. He gonna end up having to do the same dance with Steph...either he'll leave or he'll adjust HIS game to accommodate the leader of the team.

How can you not?

Is there not an advantage of playing next to a Wade, Bosh, Ray Allen, Kyrie, Love, Shaq, Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Durant, Curry, Klay?

Or is playing next to Jeremy Lin the same? Of course not right.

Playing in a division like the ones the Duncal-led Spurs played in, or Kobe-led Lakers, compared to the ones Lebron played in with the Heat or with the Cavs.

Everything should be taken into account.

If you want to cape for advanced stats but then say, it's not possible to measure the team mates u play with and create a formula for it.. Then you're a fukking hypocrite.

U could take things such as points scored against team mates played with, opponents FG% against team mates, scoring plays where the rest of the team assists another team mate, team mates ppg rpg apg apg bpg TOpg,

Basivally you could just add up all teammates PER then divide by number of teammates played with and come up with your teammates average PER, then compare it to another player, like say, Brook Lopez.

There a way, especially if you believe in advanced analytics, but like I said, everyone is too biased for it.

:gucci:

Sometimes I think analytics in the Coli just means "numbers I don't understand"

Advanced stats are not an alternative to scouting or "the eye test". They simply help explain what you're watching in certain contexts.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT DOESNT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT HOW U ARE DEFENDED. FOR INSTANCE, LEBRON HAS NEVER SEEN THE DOUBLE AND TRIPLE TEAMS KOBE DID, DUE TO HIS LACK OF OFFENSIVE ARSENAL. BUT ANALYTICS DONT SHOW THAT.
