He saying it bc it doesn't look like it was anything special that the Lakers did to make it happen. He just wanted to go there, partly it seems for post-basketball reasons.

agree, but I also don't think what Logo said was "wrong" either. But Magic running the show made the decision much easier. Bron is clearly thinking of life after basketball and this was an easy move to do that. Couple that with Magic and his contacts in Hollywood/Business, it was a no brainer and easy decision for Bron.

I totally agree with this sentiment but I don’t think Jerry meant it like that at all. I think in his mind, the great ones end up as Lakers and Lebron was just destined to fall in line like Wilt, Kareem, and Shaq ended up as Lakers. Jerry still bleeds purple and gold and always will.Man before all we heard was the Lakers aren’t gonna get anyone ever again because market size doesn’t matter,players live in La during the off-season season anyways,the Lakers were going to be shytty for the unforeseeable future and the allure was dead.
Now that they signed the best player in the world it’s oh everybody already knew he was going there anyways just because it’s La and he was just going to fall in our laps anyways. Gtfoh y’all nikkas stay switching up on here.

Oh I wasn’t referring to Jerry in my post I was talking about posters on here, other boards, people on Twitter, and the talking heads. It just seems like Magic and Pelinka faced so much criticism in the beginning, and even though they’ve made move after move to improve the Lakers including getting the best player in the game they still get no credit. There are even Laker fans that continue to throw shots at Magic.
