It's certain words Jersey folks say that give it away. Especially been that pronounce Newark as "Nork"
In truth we're like cousins.Similar but growin up in both places there's definitely a difference in how certain words come out

As a New York I canāt tell you I can tell Jersey and NYC apart especially since both have many micro dialects. Kind of. I found out a few years ago that only ppl in certain parts of North Jersey only say Nork. It's "Newark" as you go below Union County.
