As much as I think Revis is one of the GOATS to ever play CB, I do not think we will be able to resign him after next year. If he comes back healthy and has a good season, teams will be throwing money at him left and right.

If we could trade him this year and stockpile picks, plus get some talent in return for 2014, I say go for it. The odds of resigning him are slim IMO.

Now, if we can somehow package Sanchez into a deal involving Revis, that would be a win\win in my book!

Yea he's a luxury unless people think your a shutdown cb away from contending . Cro and Wilson can hold it down

No he can't. Wilson at this point shouldn't even be a CB. If they had any foresight, he'd be a guaranteed replacement for either Bell or Landry at safety.

In fact, I love Cro, but you don't even know if he'll play as good as he did this year.

We need to find a QB. If trading Revis helps us do it...whatever. I love Revis and seeing him go wont sit well with me...but think of it this way...the best CB playing next week is Carlos Rodgers. Last year it was Corey Webster.

The best player that will help you find a QB is the current one.

Darrelle Revis can't fix all the problems this team has by dealing him and you're not even sure whether the new GM can even make the picks necessary to get it done. If he was the guy that was drafting Browner, Chancellor, Sherman, etc. (because the Seahawks secondary is incredibly good) then that's one thing, but he wasn't that guy.

Woody's about to have Idzik head a rebuilding process he won't survive.

and LOL @ DON'T play like a Jet, stop saying that because everyone knows what that means...LOSING...

Have you ever listened to a GM press conference before?

What was he looking for? They're all boring. He's just being an ass.

Looking for someone to take control ?

Maybe an upgrade over Tannenbaum?

The dude pretty much confirmed Rex will be picking players again...That's exactly what we don't want...

Again...all GM press conferences are the same.

I have no idea what he expected to hear today.

LOL @ biggest joke. Go look at the Browns, Chiefs, and Jaguars, then come talk to me.

The Browns took the Offensive Coordinator and have the RB we wanted.

The Chiefs have the #1 pick we'd love to have again someday.

The Jags have the general manager we really wanted.

As it stands, it would surprise no one if they got their shyt together faster than we did and they're at the bottom (especially KC and CLE because they have a wealth of young talent that simply needs development)

I don't know what Idzik's gonna do, but why is Francesa acting like Idzik needed to come in, rip the organization that just hired him and then talk as if he'll save 44 years of misery in one presser?

I wasn't gonna walk away feeling better if he gave us Jets fans a rah-rah speech. This is a results oriented business. I'd rather him be the most boring vanilla, "I went to the school of Derek Jeter responses" and produce great results than gas our heads up with goals he knows he can't reach. The best GM's /owners are the ones you don't hear or see from.

This play like a Jet mantra needs to go though.

That said, Idzik talking about tryouts and finding a diamond in the rough at least sounds like he'll value later picks better.
