shyt is pathetic how blacks and whites talk about Lamar. But quiet when you got BUM ASS QB'S like Bortles, Glennon, Bradford, Smith, etc still in the league. You give Lamar Jackson a fukking Jags defense and Fournette and they would have been in the super bowl his rookie year. Lamar was Lousville offense. Just like Chubb was the defense. Without either you wouldn't even think about Louisville. Their backs and WR's are just mediocre yet he still won the Heismann. smh

Vick was a beast. He admittedly said he didn't pay attention to coaches or studied film. Matt Ryan bum ass been there for years and they took forever to get to the NFC chip game and to the Superbowl. Vick was a highlight reel. Imagine if he had stud WR's and a defense like a lot of these cacs have and still don't produce.

They've tried the "maybe we can find a QB in the later rounds" strategy. Long story short, they failed miserably and nobody trusts their draft acumen to identify that guy. We still don't trust them to get the third pick right.


The issue you have is to get the QB you want next year, you'll have to lose more than the Jets did last year, but if that happens, everyone is gonna lose their jobs. If the Jets try to compete and fail and still don't have their future QB, it'll be damn near impossible to trade up for it. That is the dilemma they're in.

They took Hackenburg over Dak. They passed on Russell Wilson. The last time they moved up they took Sanchez so they haven't been right anywhere in the draft order. Franchise QB's are there in later rounds. Even with the misses you don't compound your losses by making a trade like this pre draft. This is a panic move because they didn't land Cousins. They can still be leap frogged if the Giants move down.

They don't even have a guy they're just going to take who's there. If Darnold/Rosen are gone they'll take Allen or Mayfield. Any of the four will do. If that's the case one of them will be around at 6.

I'd rather see if Teddy can stay healthy and return to form. Maybe trade down to get more picks to rebuild the offense. If Lamar is there in the second take him.

so what did you want the Jets to do to address QB? If the answer is simply to wait at 6, who are you waiting for at 6 that won't get taken by 3, maybe 4 teams if one jumps up?

Bridgewater is not that bad. if they used those picks on the O-line and got a pass rusher then could have made noise without this trade. Now that goes to next year and 2020.
