Back then we wasn't even tripping about him leaving empty handed. A clusterfukk of fukkery. No hindsight needed for that situation. We knew real-time that Suge would run that shyt into the ground. It's a shame that they couldn't see it.

Suge could’ve run a tight ship for 20 years but treated the label like a gang club house.

Something was bound to sink the whole thing and as we saw with the Rampart scandal, it was coming one way or another.

but these other labels weren’t exactly Motown level intelligence during their run. But the difference is that people like Clive Davis didn’t fear Puff in the least. Jimmy “let” Suge do whatever because Death Row saved Interscope from folding and the $ we coming in hand over fist.

Jimmy simply stood by like a bystander but he also knew that if/when it all fell apart, Andre would leave like he left Jerry/Eazy. After years of doing dumb shyt and getting in trouble, Andre smartened up and realized that him and Jimmy could make real money despite doing less and less hands on music shyt.
