I don't I ever seriously paid attention to her before.

She's batshyt crazy, yeah? Or am I being unfair?

She is getting burn right now (no pun intended) just because she is an alternative to the establishment and many people don't truly know most of her policies and are jumping to conclusions that she is the female Bernie Sanders...I agree with some of her platform but in this election sadly there is no right answer...this country is going to get that ether no matter who gets sworn in (if there even is an election) :BrutusGTFO:

All you need to know is like many super left leaning progressives, on issues like vaccinations, GMOs, and just straight up basic science - that doesn't involve climate change - she sits quite comfortably in the loony bin.

She's not anti-vax or GMO for some reason like every party she has to play to certain bases like Evangelicals and Neo libs in the big 2. Her nuance on those things are gonna be a turn off but as far as science they're the only party that really cares about combating climate change.

Bleeding heart liberals can only agree on climate change. (I need to bold, underline, and italicize this statement because it's extremely significant.)

Either way, my statement was poorly worded. My point is that she's said some leftist shyt that should place her in the loony bin. But that as a whole, leftist often dip their toes in the loony bin on issues such as vaccinations, GMO's, and basic science.

Elizabeth Warren and Bernie both believe in GMO labeling and while they wouldn't be called anti-gmo, they are pro-organic, which presents problems

Nonetheless, David Weigel noted in the Washington Post that Dr. Stein's statements echo language used by vaccination opponents, and that her call for vaccines "to be tested and regulated by parties that do not have a financial interest in them" may be misplaced:

Stein's warning about corporate influence in the vaccine approval process is often voiced by "anti-vaxxers." In reality, most members of the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee work at academic or medical institutions, not drug companies. But for Stein, the fact that people saw corporate and lobbying influence running rampant meant that some skepticism was warranted.

Dr. Stein's stated position is that she "supports vaccinations" and acknowledges that "we have a real compelling need for vaccinations," so it's not true to say that she is on record as holding an anti-vaccination political position. However, her somewhat equivocal statements surrounding that issue allow for a fair bit of leeway and interpretation — many others who proclaim to "support vaccinations" in concept effectively undercut their positions by raising objections to the "vaccination process" or the "vaccination industry."
Is Green Party Candidate Jill Stein 'Anti-Vaccine'?

Why do you feel pro-organic "presents problems" and why would skepticism around corporate interests in vaccinations be unwarranted? Whether most members of the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee work at academic or medical institutions or not doesn't change the fact that they are subject to corporate and institutional pressure.

Now, that's not to say that thinking everyone is secretly getting shot up with AIDS or something is a legitimate position. But neither is the blind assumption that everything is A-OK. The pharmaceutical, medical, and food industries are all screwed up.

Stop bringing up this woman's name in my presence.
I clowned her months ago and people got mad at me lol. I like most of her stances, but no one can seriously envision her as president. She runs every 4 years just to try to get funding to become viable. Instead, she should start trying to build from the bottom up. You would think that all those states that supported Bernie would be fertile ground. Find some progressive politicians right now and see if you can get them to switch parties. The Green Party is not a serious party until they figure out how to fund raise and win local elections. You would think that college campuses would be fertile ground. They should be able to get at least 10% of college kids to register as greens.
