Add to it that the lessons these same people "equip" you with, and you have the model of your reality. Your environment (experiences/observations) raises you and shapes you.

The question is, what does anybody really know? The bigger question is, what are you really buying into? How are you being shaped? Are you aware that you are being pushed and pulled?

What really is normal? The big assumption is that reality is logical.

Even to quote Machiavelli - the ruler makes the rules, they don't have to follow them.

So then does the ultimate ruler whether that be God/Universe/Reality/whatever follow rules or do they do whatever they want? The same kind of assumptions people make about politicians having to "play fair" scientists are making about reality behaving "logically."
