It is NOT that confusing...

You don't need to put all that weight on your vertebrae and knees to get a good leg exercise...You can get strong legs by doing wall squats, running (bare feet is better), and pistol squats...Also leg press is safer than squatting...

Pistol squats are great for balance, core strength, coordination, mental focus...

Weightlifting squat is good for gaining mass...But at some point in life, all that mass becomes a BURDEN to carry around, and it is going to FCUK UP your mobility and quality of life...

I have had OVER 500 geriatric patients, and I have NEVER seen a heavy elderly man or woman moving with fluidity...They always seem to have more problems than lighter and flexible elderly people...

Dude you can always work on mobility separately. There are tons of powerlifters with great mobility, it's a must to have it if you want to perform these exercises properly in the first place.

I'm only like a 165 pounds and I squat, deadlift, press, relatively heavy compared to my bodyweight. I'm no IPF champion but I can pull 405 on dead for one or two on a good day, might be able to give you a 280 squat below parallel for one. Weightlifting won't make you huge if you don't eat with the same level of dedication as you're lifting anyway. And I run anywhere between 5-8 miles once or twice a week. Just being a fat ass weightlifter is useless I agree, but there's nothing wrong with doing squats, deadlifts, benches, pressing, etc.

As long as people perform the exercises safely, get enough food and recovery, there's no way they can hurt you unless you're genetically cursed or unlucky

I don't lift a lot of weight, but I do work out. I life more than 90% of the dudes at my gym (YMCA but whatever).

But get on the internet and I'm suddenly the weakest guy in the conversation. Funny how that works. :patrice:

My personal best squat is 305. I hit it for one rep. The second rep my muscles gave out at the bottom but I was in the rack so it saved my life :pachaha:

Now I just fukk around between 245 and 275.

Internet will fukk your perception up big time dude. In my gym I see maybe a handful of people ever deadlifting anywhere near what I do, and I'm weak as fukk in my opinion. I deadlift between like 315-390 and max out occasionally at like 405, but to the average guy your stats are impressive.

My all-time squat max is 300 :pachaha:

Another person talking shyt. Do you know how heavy that shyt is? That's 3 45 pound plates on each side. :laff:that's some superman shyt. I've seen plenty of guys struggle with that. It's rare to see someone breeze through that. Stop playing.

Nah man. Jimmy is squatting 275, 3 plates would be 315.

Brehs, a lot of y'all should spend the money and head to the gym daily/ multiple times a week.... you'll see just how much of a difference it'll make in your life....His videos aint exactly earth shattering, and dude aint about to be on the cover of Muscle & Fitness or anything like that.

What Jimmy is doing, is what you could probably do if you cared enough.

Most of the nikkas on this forum be pump fakin like a motherfukka.... .I wouldn't pay them any mind....

:heh: Word. It never fails on here. There's a "Can you beat Steph Curry in a fight" thread on here and the OP posted that Steph can deadlift 400 lbs. Predictably, a bunch of dudes got in there talking about how deadlifting 400 lbs ain't sh!t and they could do more than that. What's that? Like four 45 lb plates on each side, with a 45 lb bar? Cats in there were like "I weigh 150 lbs and I can do that easily" :russ:
