Can't be Harvard during the week and Bama on saturdays. The old guard wants that, as does some of the younger demographic, but that's damn near impossible without academic concessions.

Not only do we need to add more majors but to be even more competitive we'd have to remove the mandatory calculus and lab sciences. Adding more majors is the first hurdle absolutely but that's a pipe dream considering the board of regents. What's sad is that the second hurdle of removing the mandatory calculus and lab science would be even more difficult
Good point that calculus class is a back breaker

I just don't buy the logic that a coach isn't going to take a job because you're in the same conference/division as a coach & program that is the GOAT. If I'm looking for a job im taking the job because of what I'm going to do, I'm not worried about the next man I don't care who it is

No :heh:

Do you understand how difficult it is to get into Tech? Ask @iamstr8fire @Mr Hate Coffee @The_Sheff @Rekkapryde about it. You're talking about when you've already been accepted and choosing a major, Tech isn't lowering their academic standards for football or any athletics. Tech academically is like Vanderbilt, Duke or Stanford. UGA is the big state school where you don't even need a 3.0 to get in. So no adding one major is not going to even the playing field in terms of recruiting in Georgia

They added the college of business in an attempt to make it more like a liberal arts school but in general they aren't lowering their standards for sports. GT makes its bread on scientific research.

Not to mention they don't cut athletes any slack with cheating, failing classes, etc.
