The Isleys spent the entire 70s trying to capture the guitar sound Hendrix had blessed them with a decade earlier!

Imagine if Motown had gotten its hands on Hendrix. Would have made him part of the Funk Brothers!

He left the group before they signed with Motown.

Rock music (especially 1960s/1970s rock aka Classic Rock) is closer to Blues than any other popular genre, w/ Jazz being the 2nd closest

Check out Eric Gales. Might be the most underrated blues guitarist. Matter of fact dude might be the best overall guitarist in the world. He's a young prodigy that came up under SRV/Santana but had a lot set backs.
