This is a corporate lie....and one the music industry loves to tell....

They say 'no money' because they are not making excessive profits like they used to. They aren't making the profits they were when they were over charging people for CDs so they say there is 'no money'

They did the same thing saying that Internet was 'killing the business' because people were just downloading music. Now that most people dont just download, they actually pay to stream or listen to commercials, it still isnt enough.

Summed up...fukk that WOP Jimmy Iovine and the meatball he rolled in on.

Of course.. they giving people unlimited access to music for fhe price of one album.. how would that be profitable?

It works for tv/movies.. but music..

All While at the same time offering it for free.. :what:

Explain this, because team and film cost more to make.

The streaming industry is making money, Jimmy justs want more

Jimmy is pushing to stop Spotify offering free subscribers access to music that is all. It's greed, not the lack of money Spotify is making

For instance, Spotify main cost drivers are the licensing fees payable to the rights-holders (labels). They paid 1.6 billion to right holder in 2015.

The streaming service saved the music industry, it was in deep recession before.
This. The whole media campaign against Jay-Z Tidel is this

no they are NOT making money...the money they pay out to rights holders and royalties to record companies is KILLING thier profit margin which they assumed SUBSCRIBERS would be able to contribute to....

but you know who is making money....THE LABELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :umad:

More likely that Spotify will eventually get aquired. Music streaming is their only business and they're losing money.

At least Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google Music/YouTube are simply side businesses but Spoitfy has nothing to fall back on.

Spotify may shut down or get acquired by someone else but I still think Apple, Tidal etc, those types of companies that have streaming services already will become the labels in the not too distant future.

it damn sure ain't giving artists any money, they making pennies on the dollar for streaming so for them it's terrible
So they were not making pennies on the dollars of cds:jbhmm:

It’s funny how quick those old rumors of people getting pennies per cd sold disappeared as quick as streaming came through the door.

Back in the days there were articles of artists even getting zero. At the end of the day it’s a different thing. If your song is on all the hot playlists and a listener base of 100 millions just clicks on it for 30 seconds, that’s not equal to selling 100 million singles.
