If gamers really objectively stepped back and looked at what they were doing: spending 10+ hours a week watching streams of video games, then that to me is kind of ridiculous. That's kind of Jimmy's point. If you love playing video games, then why spend so much time watching others?
Now if you want to watch video games because you legit like watching people play, then that's understandable. But I think some people fool themselves into thinking they get better at the game by watching other people because it seems like an "easier" way to get better. But in reality, unless you've reached a certain very high level, you're not doing any favors. Your muscle memory and ability to think quick aren't improving watching other people as much as it would being on the game.
Same cats will then start blaming other people in games for not being good, when it's them who could actually use those 10 hours of watching per week to get better at the game. Watching people shoot jump shots doesn't make your jump shot better.
