JJ Reddikk is a breath of fresh air these old heads been telling their own fake story for too long.
They never mention the illegal defense rules that translated to them not being double teamed. They never mention that the 80s had as high or even higher scores per game than today and on.

Another thing they also forget to say is that while defense might be more lax, they still put up the hardest defense when they face the best players. People are still eager to shut down Lebron, Curry, Giannis, Ja and on.

All they do is talk about every game like it was the Pistones in their prime and that's making old head haters mad. "How can he call out my hate like that fukking white boy, I been hating in peace all my life":gucci:

Nah it's just a pointless stat for people who watch games.

Cause he gets away from the defender and shoots. 1 step for Curry is the difference between tight and not tight :dahell:

And people aren't covering fast enough get tight on him or even in their head thinking about it when he's taking shots close to the logo.

If he's touching the 3P line, they're on him or anyone else. If dudes are 6ft away from it, it's less likely. But for normal people it's also less likely that they'll hit it while for Curry it's like the opposite, it feels weird even have to say that he's not normal

I’m not doubting his shooting prowess..nobody can . But the fact is that ppl were saying Bird got his shyt off from open looks while curry does not . A good amount of his threes are “open” according to the NBA. Ppl act like most of Steph’s shyt comes from ppl hanging all over him on release when that’s just not true . It’s not a knock on Steph at all. It’s a testament to how he’s great and utilizing screens ,relocating off ball and the GSW offense.

This was just some dumb shyt JJ said

Curry shoots half court shots to avoid physicality. Back in the day we use to call Reggie Miller a b1tch for runnin all around the damn court to shoot a 3.

JJ's doing too much these days....

But also :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol: at Mad Dog saying Steph lives at the foul line.

All these cats talk about the game like they either can't be bothered to watch it or disrespect the great players.

pretend matthew delladova, tony parker, kyrie, fred van vleet, marcus smart, kyle lowry of the past 10 championships are some elite level defenses brehs

while disregarding hand checking and only speaking on offball holding

where the warriors, as the worst example... move off ball on specially designed plays (elevator doors) etc and moving screens to get open

not even mentioning the spacing you have with other top players on the wings, so you cant cheat off to help.
this site is 100% a bunch of dudes built like Hannibal Burress

I still think you should have your age in your profile somewhere

Who said they were elite? keep up bro.... JJ is saying Curry is being pulled and pushed clearly being fouled not getting the whistle other superstars get and still avg 30 a game.

Steph's lethality significantly goes down in the later stages of the playoffs, that's because refs allow more physicality.

Steph has been otherworldly in the regular season and that otherworldliness doesn't always translate in the playoffs, for him - again, it's because more physical play is allowed.

I already clowned him for it in another thread, not going to feed the troll. The physicality on Steph is to keep him from getting enough space to take the shot. When he gets the space, he does take the shot. Other than that. what information did Chicago give you? 4 feet from a closing defender is hardly more than the bare minimum necessary to get off a three unless you're 6'10" or are elevating like crazy.

First off, he's purposely distorting the table. "Wide open" by the table is 6 feet or further away, but he lumped in defenders just 4 feet away and is calling it "Wide the fukk Open". Second, using the same name for someone shooting a layup and someone shooting a 3pt is a computer convenience but you'd be an idiot to do it in real life. If you're shooting a layup with the nearest defender 4 feet away, you're open. If you're shooting a 10 foot jumper with the nearest defender 4 feet away and standing still, you're open. If you're shooting a 3pt with the nearest defender 4 feet away and closing at full speed, you're not open, you can barely get that shot off at all. If Curry has someone 4 feet away and closing that is not "Wide the fukk Open", they're literally just the next stride away from being on top of you. Those shots are usually taken when he's coming off a screen and has a fraction a second to get the shot off before the defender closes.

And he's dumb as fukk even mentioning the "0-2 feet" category as if that's relevant to 3pt shooting. You shoot with a defender 0-2 feet away when you're making a contested layup or scoring out of the post. That's not a shot anyone in the league does from 3pt range, especially when they're barely 6 feet tall, unless you're just trying to draw a foul or got caught in a terrible situation with the clock running out and just have to throw up bullshyt.

So he's simultaneously trying to use the names on the columns to mean something they don't mean in real life as if "well that's what they called it take it up with them", AND changing the names of the columns when it suits him. You can't have it both ways.

It's no surprise that posters like him who are the first to claim someone else is a "stat nerd" are also the first to use the dumbest fukking stats out of context.
