The struggle is realer for us than it was for our parents![]()

It sucks for a lot of people because companies have such a large pool to choose from and they set their standards HIGH...
But this will be worse for the country in the long run because all these young folks are 22-32 cannot gain the experience needed to actually take on many of the jobs out there and it is holding everything behind... Old folks still working, retiring later, and less space for the young people...
At the same time, it is forcing people in this age bracket to get creative, our generation, "The Millennials"(16-32), could end up being the most innovative generation to come about because of this..
I got my degree in Economics and was working consulting for a couple years... I recently just quit my job and am writing a business plan... In the mean time I've been using my other skills as an asset to stack money on the side... You can't wait for anything unless you are a cream of the crop top talent.
At this point You have to get it on your own. It is hard, but find the assets that make you talented (aside from being a good company drone) and go use it to make your own money...
Only real skill I have is artistic ability (I draw my own comic/manga, plus I can draw pretty much anything in front of me, not to mention I can write stories and scripts as well)...but no ones looking for that...I make a few bucks every now and then off of drawing and illustrating, but nothing substantial. People be wanting graphics more often (which I can also do, but to a lot lesser degree. I'm more of the pencil/pen paper type of guy)...idk maybe I should just practice more graphic shyt once I get a new laptop...![]()
Get into tattoos maybe
What are some good side hustles? I just got a second job, but idk how much it will pay. I need ideas on what else I can do.
I hate the fact i'm going to be working close to 70 hrs a week now and my drug dealing roommate sleeps all day and must be making at least double what I am the way he seems to ball. FML
no offense, but those are low-level, low-paying jobs. just lie on ur resume about your experience. They'll train you on the job anyways.
I'm in the process of switching careers too well kinda into a different field from where I'm at. Its definitely hard out there trying to get a gig that requires so much for the position even for an entry level position. Been on the networking shyt but haven't crossed by any leads yet. I'm trying to stay optimistic, hopefully something happens soon.
Since u have experience in carpentry u should try that route. Save up to get your trade license. You can make some good money doing contract work. I work at a home improvement store and those who know how to hustle make good money. Be your own boss and control your own future. The main thing besides the job is to save and look into getting some type of health insurance. Where I'm from if you make under a certain amount the county provides health coverage if you sign up for it. Not the bet but its better then nothing.

I'm trying to work in Television breh and its stressful. Keep your head up though and don't stop contacting the leads you already have you'll never know where they might take you
