Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
YoungFly... then tell us what you've experienced and how to get a leg up in the resume/application game instead of shiitting on dudes trying to help fellow brehs advance themselves in life. That is if you legitimately held an HR position (which isn't easy).

Your attitude and pessimism is counterproductive as hell man. C'mon.

No nikka you failed, putting in even 1 full time work week on a business that aint even netting part time profits, and then taking out a credit line like your shyt is about to be THRIVING.

Listen nikka, i could sell gift cards in bulk online and make more than you will make in the next 2 years combined and earn enough points on my credit card to finance a free round trip first class ticket to Japan.

Difference is, that fat hr lady already got a cushy position, the nikkas submitting resumes NEED one.

Listen you ole' "Work in Progress" ass negro:

1) HR execs even with the SPHR cert and an MBA make like $125-150k absolute MAX - meanwhile my field can go as high as CMO making $500k w/ stock. Cushy my black ass they struggling because most of them see my salary and get mad especially if it's a BW. They will never make my maximum income no matter how many donuts they eat. Most HR execs that interview me make half my income.

2) After taxes and shyt, factoring in opportunity cost my margins is like 65% AND I charged the client a friends and family discount. Enough dude you don't know what my numbers are.

3) nikka what you talmbout some gift card bullshyt scam - You one of those Nigerian-Chinese iTunes card scam collaborators? fukk outta here nikka

I ain't say nothing about my biz thriving I said it's important to THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE.

That's the problem with nikkas like you. You don't fukkin know how to READ.

Just got off a phone interview with an internal recruiter and I have some additional tips:

- Under no circumstances take phone interviews at work or in areas where there is high foot traffic (even with just external recruiter) You will be distracted and perform poorly. Push the phone interview after business hours or to a day you can take off/work from home. If they cannot accommodate the opportunity isn't for you.

- Clarify in the beginning the position location, title and any logistical requirements so you don't waste each other's time. (I.e. - If the position is in Southern NJ and you live in NYC)

- Ask them to reverse the order, tell me about the position and I'll tell you how I fit it. There's no point in me telling you about experiences that aren't relevant to the role. The goal is to make everyone happy and not waste time with extraneous information that they don't need to know. If they cannot accommodate - The position is not for you.
