I don't think he was trying to make people laugh. This was creepy and crossing a line.

He was her boss.
True but he was also being Joe Budden. A dude that has a podcast network. There’s a reason he thought he could do this. He would never do that if he was still under Complex or some other entity. He talks and act pretty recklessly even after the deals he’s gotten. Maybe this will get him to chill out. We will see.

Joe Budden Apologizes to Olivia Dope Following Sexual Harassment Allegation

In a statement issued Tuesday, May 18th, Budden responded: “As a podcaster, it is my job to address topics and create dialogue around them. During the conversation on the See, The Thing Is podcast I didn’t handle the topics with the sensitivity they deserved. I recognize my words and power in that situation created an upsetting environment for Olivia. Upon reflection, both the network and I take accountability for this.”

He continued: “I apologize sincerely to Olivia, her former co-hosts, our staff, and the public. In an effort to not further any trauma, the episode will be removed from all platforms. We support all women’s rights to feel comfortable and protected in the workplace. We fell short of that in this instance. We support Olivia in her quest to heal, applaud her for finding the strength to share her experience, and wish her the best in all her future endeavors. I am taking the time to listen and learn; we have already begun to make the necessary changes to ensure this is a safe environment for all moving forward. We at the network endeavor to continue to elevate Black women’s voices and create opportunities to have constructive conversations to impact change.”

EDIT : In the video she says that they asked her if she wanted those parts with Joe hugging her edited out, to which she said yes. Then they asked her again for the final time and she said yes put it out. So what is the issue ?

I get it, this is perfect timing cause of the podcast beef so she's attempting to capitalize on this moment.
Nah she was cool with it. There was no sexual harassment or anything. Somebody probably paid her to make this accusation as part of the smear campaign (probably the other white cohosts) and/or she just lookin for clout.

this whole thing where women come out with sexual allegations against men they’ve worked for or were friends with, at the most convenient times, is just laughable at this point

What is the purpose of this post?

You think its cool for a boss/cowoker to sexually harass his female talent if they don't have an HR department?

I'm trying to understand how you brehs think.

Sexual harassment is unwanted sexual advances. Seems to me he took his shot and that was it. Quit being a simp. Men/women can shoot a shot and as long as they don’t continue to persist that’s where the harassment comes in.

that’s like you trying to talk to a woman and she turns you down and you just leave it be vs you going full on simp and continuing to try to get her.

So as I was saying do they even conduct HR training do people even know what harassment is? It’s a podcast. They can probably drink and smoke on set for all I know. You are more concerned that he was in a position where he could hire or fire her I guess.

She was cool with it but left shortly after the incident?:unimpressed:

She's been talking about this.

Talking like Joe doesn't have a history of crossing the line.

Bro, literally in the video after Joe JOKINGLY says "Hit the button bytch" he goes on to explain how he's joking and he obviously didn't mean to offend her. She said "I know it's not malicious Joe" (or something to that extent) they laugh and move on. She literally says that in the video but of course in this social media click driven world nobody wants the facts they just wanna be fake outraged for the week.

Talking like Joe doesn't have a history of crossing the line.

She stayed on for 3 more episodes... and she's only reacting like this because the social media was on her about it.

This is like if a girl has sex with a guy and she's okay with it, she likes him. But then She tells her friends that she slept with this particular guy and they condemn her for it and tell her that he's a player ,"he don't wife em he one nights em". Then she starts feeling embarrassed because her friends make her feel bad for what she did, now she's saying that she was drunk and breh took advantage of her.

She had no problem with it when it happened, why ? cause there was no problem to be fukking had but these bytches have no sense, social media and clout is what they live for and this is the result.

Joe needs to realise that the Pod is interesting when they talk about major things going on but when the major thing is to do with you, it leaves little to talk about.
