I am a Kendrick fan but I really struggle to find whats so good about TPAB. Its not that I think its horrible or anything but I would rather play Section 80, GKMC, KLEP, or OD instead any day. No one called Section 80 a classic and its clearly the better album to me.
tpab is all about the flawless and genius musical composition

any musician or people who know music will tell you its jaz and funk composition is on some GOAT level

its all about the music, and tpab music is just exceptional

my favorite is s80... but objectively speaking, tpab is by far his best album (quality wise)

he right, you can have the argument that to pimp a butterfly is a top 5 or top 10 album in music, not just in hip hop

Even prince admitted tpab was probably sonically better than all of his own albums

tpab transcends hip hop...

music is subjective, so I could see why you would enjoy his other albums more (its not my case) but tpab is oozing with black musical & cultural excellence and I feel like a certain musical knowledge is recquired in order to fully understand its greatness. I mean, I don't think it is necessary to understand its greatness but if you have that knowledge then there's no way you can deny it.

I'm a musician, been studying music for 10 years and its easily the most impressive album I have heard since OK computer.

This exactly. TPAB is more precise musically, fleshed out and better executed than all his albums combined

I get the jazz influence on TPAB I just think it wasn't executed all that great. Good album but I think its a little bit overblown. Still prefer GKMC and S80.

Why would anybody give a fvck what this cornball thinks is a classic album? This the same pvssy that got his eyeball blackened because he thought he should be placed higher on a greatest MC ever list than Method Man and Melle Mel. A thread on this shouldn't have been made.

It's a great diss. Stop it.
It really isn't lol, pushin buddens by Saigon was a great diss, t shirt and buddens was lame as fukk aside from a couple funny lines

Also in terms of just lyricism joe is nicer than method man, that was his point, not that he's been more relevant or had more of an impact or classic material then mef because that obviously isn't true

No quotables on the first page just dikk pulling. I like Kendrick as #blackexcellence but his music isn't impactful. It appears only critics and TheColi stans his music.
