I’ll never understand Patreon. You’re paying “creators” for an exclusive version of something they offer for free?
The only reason I watch shyt on YouTube is because it’s free entertainment. I’ve never come across content so good that it’s worth paying for. But at least podcasts don’t require any additional effort. Movie reactions need you to supply your own copy of the film, and sync it up the patreon commentary.
It’s like paying for companionship.

The twitter account misinterpreted the article. They made $2 million per year at Spotify. After leaving Spotify, they almost signed a $44 million dollar deal with a new partner that would have required them to remove their youtube content.

I remember it was looking a bit shaky after the Rory & Mal fallout. But Ish and Ice have definitely been holding it down. Ish definitely should be paid more. A lot of their viral moments have been due to the fact of him and Joe arguing or him arguing with someone else. Plus the addition of Marc Lamont Hill has greatly added to the conversations on serious topics
The Patreon content isn’t on YouTube and it’s honestly their better content and discussions.
