Yea, if we go by what openai says, a YT video with 1-million views centered on NBA-content would generate between $4k-$12k, and for NFL content between $3k to $8k. Tho of course other types of advertisements and sponsors can blow that number up, some say as much as $30k per 1-million views.

From what Gil was saying, Gil's Arena was averaging about 1.1 million or so total views a week, and said Gridiron averages about 400k views a week. So even if you go with the high end estimates, that's great for a 1-man show but not if you're splitting it 4-ways + a full production team and budget. It's no wonder you see the Double Toasted guys and now Jeff Teague's 520 crew doing road shows and spamming merchandise. Or always emphasizing the "super chat", etc

Ultimately getting picked up by an Amazon, Netflix, HBO, ESPN, etc., is the more lucrative/stable play for these mutli-cast shows.

He called shyt like that and interacting with the fans "suckup" shyt. That's why flip tried to counter with him saying he took a paycut because Joe asked, thinking that's a flex.

Flip didn’t take a pay cut. That’s a straight up lie.

I’ve listened to the show long enough to know what actually happened.

Flip had his own show on Joe’s network called Improper Improv. Joe was paying him to produce that content in addition to his regular pay. Flip started acting like he was the man as a result and doing too much. Meanwhile, his cohost, King of All Blacks aka Shampoo from the Howard Stern show was doing shyt on air that was gonna cause Joe problems. The show ended because Shampoo thought he was the man and he got the boot.

After Flip’s show ended, he continued getting the extra pay FOR MONTHS until Joe’s accounting team noticed. Joe shut that shyt down and Flip try to call him out on air over it, but ended up looking stupid because Joe was like, why would I pay you for a show you no longer want to create? That’s the “pay cut”.



Ever since, Flip’s fat chiggy nuggy eating ass has tried to get his own thing popping and has been trying to prove to Joe he doesn’t need him.
