lol @ people acting like Joe can't rap. He's insanely nice with it. Really underrated. Anybody that seriously think lil b washed him getting blocked.

Shirts and Buddens was glorious, but to be honest I don't think I've ever heard a Joe Budden diss (let alone a song)

:whoa: lemme go listen to ole boys discography

Drake got his whole style from Budden, listen to his first mixtapes....he was trying hard to sound like mid 2000's Budden.

Truth is Budden is superior in every aspect, just doesn't have the mainstream appeal/backing, and got black balled early in his career. He didn't have the luxury of being put on the grammy stage with just a mixtape to his name like Drake.....which is a fact that can't be denied. He didn't have the luxury of having a mixtape song in heavy rotation across North America, well in advance of his debut even dropping....to this day that has not been done.

Budden already found his lane, you can't blackball the man anymore, he's collecting coin doing his own thing..so essentially, he has nothing to lose from this.

Budden >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Drake.

Time to pull out the plant from the roots.
Meek was our best chance lyrically and platform wise but black americans would rather support the ghostwritten half-Jew Canadian. When 4/4 didn't get the praise it deserved (best project this year and miles ahead of views) I was done with this Drake thing. He's going nowhere sadly.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

"That's all a gimmick, I'm authentic, I ain't Drake

Ain't nothing wrong with it... Only saying I ain't fake

my words ain't ghostwritten,I ain't Drake " :mjpls:

Update:

buddens is too dope of a rapper to be so corny of a human being

i've never seen someone be so far on both scales... i could honestly put him up against anyone and say "rap" and he'd beat them or hold his own....

and at the same time, i couldn't stand to be around dude for 5 seconds with his throw rocks and hide hands, call for beef then blame vlad tv, act super smart but really a dope fiend, act like he got the baddest broads but they be strippers and he beats them, corny, wack ass

how you call a nikka a gimmick, not authentic, not fake.... then say... "b-b-b-b-b-but it's not a diss"

now i understand EXACTLY what tax was talking about on drink champs.. fake smart dumb nikka... trying to run game on nikkas like we his broads... nobody falling for that shyt... you dissed that man

What you call introspective I call a collection of some of the worse beats and the WORSE hooks in rap history coupled with a redundant theme of how life is terrible and all the odds are never in his favor.

That shyt is not appealing to listen to on the least. What you call dope I call :trash:

This type of critique from people like you is why hip hop is the way it is...and it's your opinion so carry on.

...It's easy to ignore your opinion tho because it's just not rooted in what hip hop is.. You're contention is "hooks" my nikka..."hooks"... lol. :snoop:

beats....shyt that makes crap-hop so prevalent today....but i'll let you cook. Someone has to tell you kids what's hot and what's not.

Get out of hear with that high horse ish

Hiphop isn't just about lyrics never has been

What makes a great artist is the total package

Budden is good at one thing in your opinion and that is depressing lyrics

I don't value someone talking about being suicidal for an entire catalog... It's actually rather silly to listen to as a form of entertainment

Hiphop is the way it is? What does that even mean? Artist that you don't like are popular and vice versa

you right, and if Budden hadnt dikkrode dude as disgustingly as he has this past year it would be advantage Budden:heh:...but you cant dikkride and defend a nikka like Budden has over the past few months especially, and then try to diss:pachaha:.

Drake was on Budden dikk extra too, early in his career, but most people dont even know that....also this aint prime Budden anyway,he aint got one of those classic g unit disses in him no more...a little less sharp than he used to be,flow aint what it used to be last few times i listened to em....mist importantlt he likes Drake so the gloves wont be off, never battle half cocked.

As hip hop isn't just about lyrics...it isn't just about hooks and the beat. It's common knowledge it's other factors. But if an artist is ELITE at one of those factors, it should be noticed, bottom line. Me personally, I value lyrics. I value authenticity. that's hip hop to me.

You don't have to like depressing lyrics...just like I don't have to like trap lyrics...but i do appreciate trap for the beat and hooks...it's a lane for everything.

Your opinion is its silly...to others, it's a vicarious release for those thats blessed to put words together. You should respect that.

Listen to the radio. Popular doesn't mean good, what's the point of being popular if you have no substance. oh...the money you make?...the radio plays you? bytches dance?....it's like...grow the fukk up...It's kids listening to this shyt trying be the image that is portrayed so they can rap about it...and they getting jammed up...it's a big picture here...I see it. Maybe you will later but I see it now... It's toxic AF..

yet it's all by design.

Artist make music for different reasons

Joe has tried his entire career to make popular rap music and has failed at every turn. He only stuck with the depression gimmick because it garnered some fans attention

Oh you are one of those rap is making black people commit crimes and not climb out of poverty guys :laff:

Joe Budden music isn't any type of substance... It's him bytching about being a drug addict and down trodden and forgotten by the music industry

The mood muzik tapes are dope. He can rap his ass off. Him and Drake going back and fourth would lean to way more quotables than him and pusha or meek. I think Drake or his writers, if you feel that way, pen is nice as hell, too.

Can he spit it like that in 2016 though?

Without a doubt. He's consistent.
