Crooked I had to imo. It would have been a bad look to just let his group member get his ass beat and not make a call.
I agree with your assessment. Crooked I and Joe Budden were never close like that. It seemed like a personality clash. Cordial at best. I do believe the rest were friends at one point, but the dynamics of friendship will definitely change over 10 plus years.
In the present, it seems like Joe & Royce are actually tight, and have the strongest bond within the group.
