Media’s obsession with mentoring in the QB position is so fukking weird like I want someone to have my job fukk that fukk this my shyt

It’s competition
I feel you but when they draft your replacemet they basically have one of your feet out the door. It's basically a warning shot that they are pretty much done with you.

The media always misses the mark on this

If a vet was signed to be a starter/compete for the starting job…they’re not about to prioritize mentoring a rookie that’s trying to take their spot

Now there are vets who are signed for that but clearly Flacco wasn’t that

Which is fine, still doesn’t change that it’s not Flacco’s job to train his replacement especially if they still feel that they can compete.

Definitely unless the team/coaches are wanting that from him. Anything less is burning a bridge and not being a team player just like any other business relationship. This component of training your replacement is common practice in corporate America. Again, only the case if this is what team is asking him to do.

That’s cool and I get it.

BUT

everybody including Joe knows the first time he fukks up, the fans will boo him into oblivion. It’s definitely not his job to be a mentor, but you better get into mentor mind before you end up either wearing a suit talking sports, or you’ll be at home talking about the glory days. shyt like this is why people like Andy Dalton are still in the league even though Carolina could’ve got rid of him last year. Dalton has no choice but to be a mentor or he may be home. Flacco is in a weird situation already sooo. :yeshrug:

All them damn quarterbacks :snoop:

Also it’s funny how that 5th round quarterback that the league owners were trying to humble is the talk of the offseason. shyts funny to me.

That’s actually proving their point though and he fell in the first place.
