If a vet was signed to be a starter/compete for the starting job…they’re not about to prioritize mentoring a rookie that’s trying to take their spot

Now there are vets who are signed for that but clearly Flacco wasn’t that

Definitely unless the team/coaches are wanting that from him. Anything less is burning a bridge and not being a team player just like any other business relationship. This component of training your replacement is common practice in corporate America. Again, only the case if this is what team is asking him to do.

It’s definitely not his job to be a mentor, but you better get into mentor mind before you end up either wearing a suit talking sports, or you’ll be at home talking about the glory days. shyt like this is why people like Andy Dalton are still in the league even though Carolina could’ve got rid of him last year. Dalton has no choice but to be a mentor or he may be home. Flacco is in a weird situation already sooo.
