Nah. He literally botched 2 championship runs in 3 years. Whether you root for the Celtics are not, going 0-3 against an 8th seeded Heat team and going 0-2 to a Knicks team that you were up 20+ points in both games is an all time fukk up by the coach

What I don't like is that Brad basically hired Joe Mazzulla to "learn on the job". And he admitted it Joe's first year as well. You DO NOT waste years with a championship contender so a coach can use this as his summer school project

I always use the example of the 2006 Miami Heat. Pat Riley came down from the GM chair to fire Stan Van Gundy to coach the Heat because he knew he could not waste this opportunity with Shaq, Antoine Walker, Gary Payton, Posey, Alonzo Mourning dying to win a ring. He never hired Erik Spoelstra at that time, cause he knew he was too green. He waited until he had the right seasoning, THEN he put Coach Spo in the leadership position when he was ready

Joe has to go
I definitely agree with 2nd paragraph....that was a failure of Brad to not hire a.more experienced coach with that type of roster. He did win a championship tho. Some coaches don't even do that and while Ime was good at defense, etc....his offense leaves a lot to be desired.

I think Joe is aight, but let's be honest, due to the Udoka situation, he was given an already great team, so I don't believe them winning a championship has more to do with him than it does with the team being great itself in terms of talent.

I'm not a fan of his coaching style. The Celtics offense is nothing but the 3-ball, and it's kinda disgusting to watch, especially when they're down in games. I remember during a regular season game at home against OKC, they were down big, and literally every possession up the court was them shooting 3's just to get them back in the game, which it did but it was awful to watch.

Those Warriors and Rocket teams of the mid-late 2010s had much more variety in their offense that even when the 3 wasn't working they found other ways to win. Boston's offense is very redundant and predictable; when the shots aren't falling, they're very beatable, hence why the Knicks won the series because overall, they played better, and the offense was more varied.

Yeah tatum has been added to frauds anonymous for continuous fraudulent behavior, but Joe Mazzulla is fukking garbage. Celtics let those snarky remarks and mean mugging trick em

Horrible thread. By the way he has the best winning % ever 1 less Championship than Erik Spoelstra and even with a shytty roster they still a tough opponent to beat.

He called Joe "an all-time great" (:mjlol:) during the regular season

Until they faced elimination, then it became "he's still young and learning"

Anyone that still takes this clown seriously needs to be seriously questioned
Mazzulla is looking like an all-time great coach in the making. I haven't seen too many offenses flow like the Celtics' in a long damn time.
Sooner or later we'll all see who the prophet is.

Udoka to Mozzarrella is one of the biggest coaching downgrades of all time

Go from a top 5 coach to someone who isnt an NBA caliber coach just inherited an already strong team, core, chemistry brehs

Houston finna be a problem very soon with Udoka. I think Jaylen finna end up there too. He dont like Jayson gettin all credit and Udoka was his nikka too.

He's a great coach. But it also helps that he's working with one of the savviest GMs in Brad Stevens.
