It's obvious he needs surgery on that knee and would be out for 6-7 months. But Sixers staff and Joel didn't want that and chose for him to just "rest" like it would go away

Right now It's almost November. That wouldn't have been the worst thing at all. Just miss the first 2-3 months of the season
