Joell ripped the track..thats it..... its just competition....kendricks verse was about rappers slackin in their pen game..he went a lil too far by sayin hes the KONY which is prob why Joell responded...but Kendricks verse worked obv...got ppl talkin and droppin heat

He definitely did. So did Lupe. Kendrick's verse was just a good but run-of-the-mill polysyllabic bragodocious battle verse of the kind we've heard several times over for years sans the name-dropping. And I like Kendrick's music more than I do Lupe (recent Lupe anyway) and Joell Ortiz. But people are overrating the fukk out of that shyt. If you respect him calling out names and bringing interest and competition back for it, so be it. I him for that. But all this acting like the verse was the 2nd coming of G Rap on The Symphony is ridiculous.
