I don’t know who to believe. She was right though, about a lot of the attacks on Joeys page being anti black and homophobic. And Joey not really calling these ppl out. He goes viral by disproportionately posting vids featuring women filming in the gym being jerks. The audience eats it up.

He started off being even. That’s why he had so many men and women Fans. Because he came across as a gym bro who hated doichebag gym culture and would call it out. But the videos where he calls out women, got him the most views. Just look at the average comment on a Joey swoell vid: “It’s so hard being a MAN nowdays. We just go to the gym and workout and have to constantly avert our eyes! Stop wearing booty shorts if you don’t want us to stare” <—-This is the average comment on his vids. That’s become his bread and butter. Calling out women. Although he isn’t explicitly misogynist. He knows his audience. And caters. A female Joey swoell would go through hell, simply commenting on male gym creep videos.

People shouldn't film others in the gym, but y'all are crazy if you really think that's what this is about. Do you really believe this guy cares about the mental health of men? Or about making things safer for both men and women in the gym? His entire shtick is to invalidate women's experiences* in the gym and to encourage men, not on some 'I want the to feel safe in the gym' concern (because he doesn't care), but to create a space where they can openly be creeps. After he made a video shaming a woman for filming a random old man who came off the street in jeans and just sat there ogling her*, I knew what this was. Though I'm not surprised, given that this is just a rebrand for a creep himself who used to hawk fake supplements, got caught harassing a bunch of women, and sent unsolicited dikk pics. And what this has taught me, is that there are obviously still many parts of this country where people are not in close proximity yo black people, ie if they are, they don't overlap in their social life with us.

Because if you're a non-black person used to being around black people, you know that "colored" is not a term we use or accept as description towards us.
