I wanna feel sorry for these cats but I can't. They keep playing after the symptoms start to appear.
I do think that brain scans for every player, from practice squad on up, should be mandatory at the beginning of the season and at the end of the season. Independent doctors should do it and the league should pay for it. And the player should be shown them so they can see if they wanna continue playing or not. I think that's the best they can do

people doing normal activities can suffer brain injuries and not even know it. I can only imagine what football players go through, and that's child to adult level.

Hell yeah it's worth it. I would give up my left testicle to play in the NFL. Yeah, you may not remember every bit of it, but the parts that you do remember are almost too good to be true. The risk is hella worth the reward

People out here without sympathy, don't realize lots of these kids are almost brainwashed since early teens. There is almost like a military complex within football team. You're a superior alpha male, a sense of pride of playing through brutal injuries. You don't realize what damage you're doing til its too late and the sport is all you know. I've had coaches lock me in a room and tell me what a coward I was for coming out of the game with a concussion. My first year at a div one school the coaches basically told me ill lose my scholarship unless I juiced....What's a breh to do? 80 thousand in student loans or steroids and a potential pro career? Now imagine making that decision at 18... Those who lack empathy don't completely understand the culture these kids are thrown into.

High school players are more likely to sustain concussions since their technique isn't as good, and those concussions are less likely to be diagnosed properly
Like I said before, a kid in HS died, and when they cut his head open to examine his brain he had the early signs of CTE.
