I mean I don't think he's gonna resign because of the reason you gave, but him deciding to kill himself won't have anything to do with anything beyond his mental health (and physical health) being fukked. It sounds like he not only shouldn't be in the senate, he shouldn't be around his family.
Was hilarious seeing republicans defend him yesterday, magically within the same 1-2 hour period. You can tell they got the memo from their party.
