he's just too conservative in my opinion. i'm sure bronco and panthers fans can give more examples, but his 3rd and 7 call to have peyton kneel instead of driving the field against the ravens in the playoffs last year sums up his coaching style.
Fox biggest problem is that he never makes an adjustment to anything...
Rode a hot Delhomme for awhile in Carolina but it was pretty obvious he struck lightning in a bottle but continued to go with him when he was absolutely atrocious...why...because he isn't a good enough coach to do anything else...
In the Superbowl Seahawks where just sitting on those short passes...but the Broncos kept trying to throw them anyway...why...cause Fox didn't know how to do anything else...
Against the colts Peyton is hurt...so yeah let's let him hurl the ball 40 yards downfield a few times...3 minutes left in the game...yeah lets run 5 yard crossing routes that the colts are sitting on and NOT get out of bounds...why...cause he isn't good enough to do anything else...
Pretty much if John Fox is your coach you are only as good as the QB and coordinators because Fox himself is never going to make a decision or call or adjustment that will matter...
You see how flat Denver played...head down after every play looking like they didn't even want to be out there...how is that not on the head coach?
What is funny is that Pagano is doing the same thing in Indy...dude is HORRIBLE...the best thing he did to prolong his coaching career is beat cancer...and now that the colts are going to the AFC championship game Indy is going to be stuck with him longer than i think they want to be...
