It's about time they stopped with the regime change bullshyt. Hell, even most of the GOP is changing its opinion on regime change.

It's a lesson that should have been learned with Saddam.

Last I heard the GOP wants to teach Putin a lesson and send China "a message"....

and he would have crushed his opposition if we didn't start butting in. or they wouldn't have risen up in the first place if they couldn't count on us to give our useless 2 cents.

ISIS started in Iraq...Assad was losing grip on that shyt for a long time before the US ever intervened.

History shows otherwise.

no shyt. so we basically put ISIS on his doorstep. i guess it's convenient to forget that there is no ISIS if neocons like you didn't want war with saddam. the so called moderate syrian rebels that want to fight assad would have been crushed without assistance from next door and general nosiness from the west.

So the west helps creates ISIS because they wanted to topple Assad and his government; Then that same created group ( ISIS) ends up being a bigger problem than Assad, and turns on us. So now we need Assad to stay, because him and Putin will help get rid of a group we helped create? :lolbron:How embarrassing!
Kind of inaccurate. ISIS isnt a bigger problem now. We just lost positioning in the situation because Russia stepped in directly. If Assad was still on the brink of being tossed, no one would be moving to team up to get rid of ISIS. This is more of a face saving political move.

Who said I supported the Iraq War?

Some of a ya'll gotta stop overstepping your boundaries...I have unique views on things and you can't keep trying to call me a neocon instead of parsing through nuances of my arguments.

I'm not even saying you're wrong, but you're making shyt a lot more simple than it was.

There ARE moderates who want assad out but reject ISIS...jsut so happens Russia fukked that up.

On top of all of that, theres like 50 factions with varying degrees of legitimacy here...but now we're just wiping anyone out who doesn't have a Syrian flag on their uniform.

Well I boiled it down to a couple sentences so of course what I was saying was simplified...

The moderates have been wiped out. There is no real strong moderate movement anymore. Assad took care of that when ISIS started making real moves because hes an evil genius.
