I think it's extreme to say the West "created" ISIS. But we were instrumental in creating the power vacuum that allowed them to come to power and the resentment to foster such strong anti-Western sentiments in the first place. You can't deny this.
ISIS was coming regardless. It was inevitable.
Every muslim/arab country knew it.
It was only a matter of time before Al-Qaeda and its affiliates grew into what they are now.
