Our ancestors built this land up for hundreds of years, unpaid. We were not involved in how it was taken, colonized, etc., but we're damn sure going to benefit off of what we put in. Even the Native Americans had Black slaves, so we didn't steal anything from them. Take that up with White people. We're not going to just build up a nation unpaid for hundreds of years, and then say, oh it's not ours, let's just tuck our tail and go back to Africa where we sold from. No, we own a portion of this shyt now. Most Latinos immigrated after it was built up. America fought a war against Mexico, and Mexico lost some of their land as a result. Mexico even sold some of the land, so they already got cashed out. Not all Latinos were Mexicans. John Leguizamo is from Colombia. His ancestors have no claim to America.

This is just some bullshyt so he can play a wider range of ""latino" roles... Got called out for not being PR so now he can say "hey I'm latino, and we're all latino so I should get latino roles!". Meaning he has no problem taking a job from a Mexican actor by playing a Mexican character... because Hollywood loves casting non Mexican latinos to play Mexicans. and the Mexicans will accept it as long it's not a black person they can make some fuss about.
