We actually watched John Stockton and knew he was overrated at the time. There's a reason pgs that followed him, the entire generation was significantly more skilled. It's not close.
A serious discussion and dialogue needs to be had in retrospect about the 90s and the fudging of the numbers and inflating it to favor star athelte players be it stockton, jordan, rodman or anyone else, that shouldn't be able to fly in any era.

Wilt rightly/wrongly believed the league had turned soft with the rule changes that catered to offensive players during the 90s.
