Wall was 8-12 shooting when the Wizards had that 6 point lead. He had just made an And1 on the fast break I believe.

Look at this

Nothing, nothing at the rim. He also looked off Otto who was posting up Isaiah with great positioning to brick a shot in the corner.

Gassed and he stopped attacking after he didn't get those back to back calls in the 3rd Qrt.

Wall hit the floor a lot this series. Just averaged 6 fts....he needs more respect, but he needs to learn to play through it as well though.

"He didn't give up"

How many times did he drive to the rim the entire 2nd half... I don't even think I saw him drive in the 4th.

Dude was pulling up from 3 like he was Curry.
That's because Brad Stevens is a great defensive coach. It wasn't that John Wall WASN'T driving to the rim, it was that he COULDN'T. Celtics defense was forcing him to shoot long range shots which is his only major flaw.

Why don't you blame the GM for going into the season with Trey Burke as the 1st guard off the bench and getting a bum as Jennings as an upgrade

:gucci: Grunfield has been shyt for years. Brooks' job was to get the most out of the players he had. Jennings was trash all series and he kept playing him. The nikka averaged 2 pts a game - you don't think Trey Burke couldn't do that shyt? You think he wouldn't have been able to give Wall a rest?

Y'all fussing about Grunfield when he's been trash for years, but the Wiz lost games where they were up 15+ points in this series.:martin:

@FAH1223 @mastermind

Doug Gottlieb with a good breakdown :ehh:. Fatigue, all that ball handling, no bench, guarding so many ball screens. Great point about LeBron giving up ball handling duties to rest more offense and play without the ball.

Now don't get me wrong if you viewed Wall as a superstar like I did he still needed to rise above it and get the team to at least the ECF. However, it really puts into perspective about just how flawed the roster is.

Really makes it important that both Beal and Porter improve their ball handling/play making...

Again Brooks could have saved Wall in game 7 by just inserting Oubre to guard Thomas. Bradley was off and the other guy on the floor was Marcus Smart. Thats who Wall should have been guarding.

im not

They are all a factor, but if we have a better bench Brooks would have played them more. Brooks was badly outcoached, but this all germinates from Grunfeld's disastrous 2016 offseason.

That's fair. Brooks is a middle of the road coach IMO - he'll only get you so far.

If they just had Horford they'd be in the ECF right now.

Or If they had landed Durant....shyt the ECF would be :whoo::damn:....might have a shot at a title this year or in the upcoming years.

However, after this off season can you blame them for passing on Ernie's BS? No not at all. Cause somehow he still mighta fukked it up :wow:

Middle of the road coaches can win titles if the players are there

It's a players league. All time great players win the majority of NBA titles regardless of the coach

Lebron never gets tired yet we make excuses for these little pg's :jbhmm:

This seems to be a new thing of saying a players tired whenever he fails down the stretch

Yeah because Bron is taking some shyt that other players clearly aren't.:ld:

If you watch Wall's game closely, you can see why he gets tired in the 4th. He moves a lot and every step he takes it's at or near full speed. He doesn't have a James Harden type game where you can play slow.
