Nice career. Injuries derailed what would've been a HOF entry.
I don't even remember him starting 40 games with the Rockets in the 2020-2021 season.

Do you think he was better than Billups? They have similar resumes outside of the title which is obviously a big deal but Chauncey got in :manny:
Chauncey got the title, lol.

Part of the reason I disliked/feared KD going to the Warriors wasnt just making them unbeatable. If Bron were to lose I'd rather it had been to a KD/Wall/Beal trio. A title and maybe Wall would get in.

However, KD probably sensed Wall wasnt 100% focused on basketball.

I'd put John above Arenas. Because John led teams into the 2nd round and within a couple of plays of the Eastern Conference Finals twice. Arenas got hurt in 2007 and was never the same.

But yeah, those old Bullets are a cut above. Especially the guys who won the championship!

Only 11 seasons. We got robbed by injuries. John can still play the game but he didn't adapt his game for when his speed would leave him.

John had HOF talent. His highs were really high, but too many moments where he needed to lead and immaturity showed. I blame the organization though. Plus lack of professionalism around him especially when he was in his first couple seasons surrounded by guys like Nick Young and Andray Blatche. He became a DC nightlife legend. Got too cool for school.

Ted Leonsis should have gotten rid of Ernie Grunfeld before John was even drafted. A new regime would have made that whole era work better.
Hate to say it, but Colin Cowherd's hating of Wall's 1st game dougie proved to be prophetic. There were no vets to keep him grounded.

I do wonder how different Kyrie and Wall's careers go if you flipped years. Kyrie goes to the Wizards and Wall goes the following year to the Cavs. Make no mistake Kyrie is better/capable of playing at a high level years later cause of skillset, etc etc. However, there use to be a serious debate about that time period. Not sure he wins a ring with Bron (although 2015 Wall is better than no Kyrie vs the Warriors) but he does have a better career.

Under achieving career for sure

Dude cared more about partying and being a fukking gang member more so than he did about his job.

He really started crying & begging to be on a roster the last 3 years I think.

These players need to understand that the youth and athleticism is only here for a moment in time and so many players, take it for granted until an injury happens, and they don’t move the same.

His playing style always had a short shelf life if he didn’t develop a consistent jump shot. I don’t think he underachieved, he met expectations given the rosters he’s been on and his injuries.
