Do you think he was better than Billups? They have similar resumes outside of the title which is obviously a big deal but Chauncey got in :manny:
John possibly was a better player both at their best but the difference is more than just the title. Billups consistently led teams to the conference finals. Wall never did anything like that even one time.

Chauncey got the title, lol.

Part of the reason I disliked/feared KD going to the Warriors wasnt just making them unbeatable. If Bron were to lose I'd rather it had been to a KD/Wall/Beal trio. A title and maybe Wall would get in.

However, KD probably sensed Wall wasnt 100% focused on basketball.

Hate to say it, but Colin Cowherd's hating of Wall's 1st game dougie proved to be prophetic. There were no vets to keep him grounded.

I do wonder how different Kyrie and Wall's careers go if you flipped years. Kyrie goes to the Wizards and Wall goes the following year to the Cavs. Make no mistake Kyrie is better/capable of playing at a high level years later cause of skillset, etc etc. However, there use to be a serious debate about that time period. Not sure he wins a ring with Bron (although 2015 Wall is better than no Kyrie vs the Warriors) but he does have a better career.
Bron wins that ring regardless. Either Wall wins it with him or Bron has Wall traded, so who knows. But Kyrie’s career trajectory likely goes in Washington the same way it was going in Cleveland before Bron showed up - empty stats and highlight plays.

It’s messed up no team wanted him to be a end of the bench guy

dude avgs are pretty damn good

19 & 9 is HOF WORTHY

but he missed too many games and his rep not getting him in at the moment

maybe decades later

If you watched his podcast interviews from 2-3 years ago, you could tell he still had an ego and probably wouldn’t accept a bench role without sulking.

I'm thinking that it was him not accepting that he wasn't it anymore.
If you are a hard worker, humble, and a good socializer it's been proven that you can stretch you career for years.

Smh @ people shytting on him.

5 star all-star in the toughest league to make in team sports is nothing to laugh at. Just cause you go #1 doesn't mean that you have to be a HoF or flop.
Then add the fact that it was injuries, he didn't chose his tendons, knees or whatever.
