Honestly, yea there's a sneaky strong argument for Chauncey > Wall, depending on what you're looking at.
Wall scored more and got more assists... but he also attempted 50% more shots per game than Billups while shooting much worse (eFG, TS%, etc.,). Had a notably higher usage rate as well. Billups strength was being a very efficient "system pg" that could call a play, then relocate to be a 40% spot-up shooter offball. Obviously Wall was more like Westbrook where bc outside shooting wasn't a strength, he was more optimal with the ball in his hands getting direct assists. And tbh, while direct assists are impressive, they're starting to feel overvalued if not detrimental; esp in cases where that 1 person does everything system takes the place of building a competent offense (i.e. this has been an issue with CP3, Russ, Harden, Luka, even Jokic last year).
With that said tho, other than posting up, Billups couldn't really beat anyone off the dribble... so DET really struggled in late game situations bc none of their guys were dynamic like that. Wall even with his worse 3ball, was still better at scoring inside the 3point line that Chauncey... just a more dynamic, athletic player, albeit a volume scoring pg.
4x all-nba, 2x defensive team, retired jersey, and HoF sounded sounded like a top 10 guy
In real time, maybe 8-9 years ago in a thread on here, i was definitely of the belief that Wall was the better basketball player than Beal. In a sense, i guess Beal won that argument, even if due to injuries (and even if it's not saying much given Beal these past few years). However Wall was definitely one of those players you rooted for bc he just looked cool in everything he did. Kinda like a Steve Francis-again even if the efficiency and wins didn't coincide with it all.
Easily. I just ran out of room in my first 10 slots.
Some brehs like Gus, Paul Pearce, Phil Chenier, and MJ would be outside of my top 10 in place of the guys I listed.

Basically unwanted and out of the league at 33-34...never won shyt, never accomplished anything of note other than a few statistical things...5 pages is 5 pages too long to discuss John Wall's retirement.
Dude was nice, can’t say much negative about his game besides he could’ve been a better shooter. He was the fastest player in the league for a lil bit. It’s the injuries and off court stuff that paints him in a less desirable light. His ego was absurd. He stayed in the club and was a drinker, you can see it in his face pause. If you’re gonna be James Harden East then you need to match his availability but for John Wall his body couldn’t hold up. I felt bad for him after the Rockets stint, and he was decent for the Clippers, I wished they had given him more time but these are the breaks. He had a good career and made lots of money. Salute to that brother
