It's not so much hate for Johnny football, but I see they still LOVE to hate Cam

Players do get a stipend, room, board, free education, football training at the highest level...they don't need to get paid (although the stipend should be raised)
So using this logic, he is\was a better college player than CAM?
College sports isnt a job. And some jobs DO pay in education...both internships and graduate education tuiton.
If your job decided to start paying you in education would you be ok with that?
Newton went undefeated with a tougher schedule though, give me him any dayif we're judging one for one seasons which each of them had, you can't say he's not equal at least.
A&M went from being a 3rd tier team in the Big 12 to beating Alabama

What job other than College football do people have specialized skills and work at a place where they add millions of dollars to bottom line and they don't get paid CASH MONEY in return for there services?College sports isnt a job. Think first kiddo.

Less than half qualify academically for the schools they get in
I'm in favor of players getting higher stipends and getting money if their likeness is used (I propose that money get put in a fund and the players receive that check or payments after they get outta school). But how would you pay players equally? Wouldn't the big schools just outbid everybody? Would the QB make more than the DE or RG? I just don't think it's feasible to pay college athletes especially when the majority of these players don't match the economic impact the school invests in them based on the free services given to football players that I listed above
how many schools break even enough to pay players
yeah UA makes a lot of money, but what about all these other schools with smaller budgets
that money generated goes back into the school for other projects sometimes also.
where the money coming from to pay these athletes?
since its heading towards that, sure go ahead and pay they players, its just where the money coming from
Paying plyers is not gonna happen.
For the hundredth time, yeah it's easy to look at school like Bama, Texas, OU, etc and say they should be paying their players. Those are big schools that make a ton of money....but what about the smaller D-1 schools? How do they compete with that? Now you have a situation where the big schools can essentially offer more money so obviously they're gonna get all the players.

So what about CFB would change in your scenerio?
The big time college schools already get the best recruits.
Small schools can't compete now
