Decision board is in December...hopefully I'll get shipped out in January. Training camp will be in Rhode Island in the cold. First option is Intel...gain enough experience and then join the CIA. A nikka got dreams.

You good bro. Just keeping it 100 with you. @Nasty_Nate and other military cats on here be dropping knowledge. There's some vets on here too. It's just a hard ass life for no cotdamn reason, especially you being in a support job. Yeh you get that "Marine" tag to the civilian population but those with a little bit of knowledge know if you ain't Recon or Marsoft you can stop flappin them gums.

Waiting might not be a bad thing. Usually at the end of the afY is when they try to fill the shytty jobs. Them allocations open up after 1 Oct and your choices get hella better. Trust me. As a nikka who got tricked into going field artillery, wait until the FY

Did basic at Ft. Knox. It wasn't shyt to me, Them cac Drill Instructors couldn't put hands on you so all that screaming and shyt didn't faze me. It was the muthafukkas in my unit I wanted to strangle. Bunch of punk ass soft ass cacs I swear...

edit- The Gas chamber was no joke though. I ain't gonna lie I would NEVER go through that shyt again. I remember you were supposed to lift up your mask, recite your full name and rank, then wait until everyone did the same. I couldn't take that shyt bruhs, gasping for air with only the horrid, putrid smell of tear gas filling your lungs. I remember looking around the chamber and seeing all the black guys freaking out and all the cac white dudes looking like and in my brain I thought it was like Anne Frank and that they were poisoning all the blacks, so I freaked out and ran, the instructor was trying to hold me back and I pushed that Cac off me yelling "I HAVE TOO LIVE!!!!" and ran into the sweet sweet morning air....NEVER AGAIN

I went though that towards the end. The thing is you can get dropped back in training. They will build a case with the proper documentation and if they feel you need to get dropped back in trainning they will make it happen. That will get rid of the laughs reall quick. Marine boot camp is 3 months but when you finish you will literally feel like you were there a lot longer.
