Joint Bank Accounts or nah?

Awhile back I was linked to a thread about this on some predominately black women board....may have been LSA or somewhere else.

I was amazed at how many women were saying that the man should pay all the bills and the mortgage and IF the woman decides she wants to work all her money is her money and she's free to do with it what she wants.

So, let's say you're married or in a long term committed relationship for the #GMB nikkas how you gonna handle that?

lol the fact that this is even something to think about is laughable. after all u've seen on the news, heard from friends and family about the shadiness of women, it shouldn't be too difficult of a decision to keep ur money hidden, safe and outta reach.

the thought of a woman telling any self respecting man that he should pay the mortgage/rent along with all the bills and the money she earns is all hers to keep..and any woman that expects that is going to be waiting a long time for a man to give her that deal.

if you really feel the need to have a joint account then just open up one together while both keeping your own.

one joint account, for needs that affect us both (mortgage, gas for the car(s), bills, groceries, etc.), and then each person can have an account of their own (i've seen my parents argue all the time over wanting to buy something for themselves but always having to ask each other to do so because they shared an account).


i'll probably have a lowkey account with several thousand in it just in case shyt don't work out and i can just leave.
