This all started from Faizon because he got mad after Eiht dissed him for dissing Dave East. Then Faizon referenced a book that came out years ago to shyt on Eiht, and Jo Jo cosigned it. Eiht just gonna have to eat this. I don't think he's a snitch, but admittedly, it's a slippy slope. Imo, this is similar to the Cease situation.

How is this a slippery slope?

He got payed to act in a movie.

it’s not like he got payed to drive work up i5 and got caught and snitched.

jo jo Capone is just on some bitter hater shyt, but that’s how a lot of Chicago/ Midwest nikkas are.

It depends on how he got paid. If he got paid with cash, anyone from the streets like Eiht is, know how that money came. So confirming you got paid in cash that way, does help their case. There's really no way around that. However, I don't know if he got a check or cash. If he got a check, that's different. So it's not "snitching" but confirming anything for the DA is helping a case against someone and I know how street nikkas look at that. That's why I compared it to Cease. He didn't rat, he just confirmed he knew someone the DA knew he was a friend of. But nikkas was calling him a snitch, because that's how the streets work.

I don't consider him a snitch either, but I can see how its a slippery slope. I watched Eiht on Doggie Diamonds program and it appears he knew Nate's money was illegal. Eiht's mistake was accepting money and entangling himself with a known street cat. The feds were building a case that the money from the street was being funneled through the film company so exposing the financials (that he likely got UNDER THE TABLE) is helping promote the money laundering narrative. Also, Eiht said his lawyer tipped him off that the feds were aware he got paid, and if he didnt' admit it, they were going to open a tax evasion case on him. So again, it sounds like he was pressure to say that to help make the case when usually a person not being investigated would just avoid talking to them altogether.

I dont' consider Eiht a rat per se but its murky lol. If I sell you an iphone that you know is stolen and you get caught with it and tell the cops I sold it to you, I would be pissed because you KNEW what you were getting into by buying it. its the same concept with Eiht. If you know I'm paying you under the table with street money to avoid the feds getting wind of my operation, you're kind of complicit once you agree to take the bread.

Just my 2 cents.

Eiht did nothing wrong in any event. He was paid and he told the truth. It’s not illegal to be paid in cash, as long as it’s understood that you’re not being paid “under the table,” which is illegal. It was on the Chicago cat to make sure everything was handled right on his end.

at points in the video he calls jojo capone and Faizon "my man", and he doesn't know them personally.

So he was supposed to deny everything, including even being a actor in the movie?

How exactly did they already know he was paid in cash? Cash doesn't leave a paper trail of any kind so who went on record stating that he was paid in cash to make him feel like "they already knew"? He could have told them he did that movie on the arm, because this Kingpin dude was someone who was trying to change his life so he wanted to help him. How could they disprove that in court? Did they check his bank deposits at the time? He was a fairly successful rapper, a big cash deposit could have came from anywhere. Sounds shaky...He's not a rat, not really, but he is kind of a clown.

If he denied it and they then checked his bank accounts, a simple "I dont know", "I can't recall", "Im a travelling rapper, I get lots of cash payments, i dont remember", etc... would suffice, pick one and ride, worst that would happen is a 13 month perjury sentence...at least you're not hurting your dude more than he is already hurt

He said the dude was his mans

No, he said his manager set the whole deal up. These guys were gonna make a movie and wanted Eiht to be in it so they got at him through the manager/attorney, he set it all up and then when they got hit with subpoenas, the manager/attorney told him that the feds already knew about Eiht getting paid and all the so just tell them the truth.
