Chris Brown was like 15/16 when he dropped his first album which had high schools and jr highs in a chokehold and he could still to this day sell out shows touring off of.

It wasn't even close when they were those ages. Brehs in this thread really being disrespectful to CB pretending like teen CB wasn't putting out higher level music than teen Mike. Mike took off and gapped CB once he hooked up with Quincy Jones.
:dead:
Breh typing straight nonsense.

This clears all of Brown's teen records

Which one of your aunties was bumping Ben and Forever Mike the way folks still rocking with that first Chris Brown album?

Oh right, none. Y'all just talking. Nobody was rocking with teen Mike's music like that in the 90's, 00's, 10's. Teen CBs music still ringing off to this day

There you go. People act dumb when they know the score. Usher, like Chris, had several albums that produced multiple hits but Confessions was the album that people who weren’t even R&B or Usher fans were checking for. It was the or at least one of the standout albums of 04. It defined the time period certainly. There’s been other albums by other artists since that have been exalted in the same fashion

Chris has none
Michael has two
That’s one of the issues with comparisons, the raw data is no longer there. Confessions went diamond. You can name maybe 15 21 century diamond ALBUMS. Not to discount digital sales, but if we are talking about pre digital sale albums. Confessions was a classic and a phenomenon.

Anyway, how would one “measure” “talent”?
Are we talking about levels of singing, dancing, performing and acting?

I'll just take that you weren't around in the 90s. Hell even the Jackson 5 Christmas album was mandatory

I can only imagine someone who was a little girl in 05 still listening to Chris's first album.

Breh you making it seem like Quincy was making beats and crafting songs and Michael was just singing over them. That’s not how it worked

Mj had considerable creative prowess on both the destiny and triumph albums both without Quincy

None of teen Michaels solo albums were mandatory. He was a few tiers below CB until he hooked up with Quincy.

You can imagine people listening to CB's first album, I can too. I can't imagine anybody listening to Michael Jackson's teen albums. Nobody was rocking with them shyts.

Nah it was brehs in here saying young Mike clears young CB.

Okay, the Quincy Jones albums are off the table, now let's look at teen Mike's albums vs teen CB's.

It's a blowout. Not even close. Nobody cares about them teen Mike albums like that. Idk how much of those J5 albums were Mike and not the Jacksons as a collective. I do know CB had the vocal talent to be the frontman for that group and there's a gap in quality between the J5 albums and teen Mike's solo work.
