I've noticed the last few years that a lot of industry folks believe that Chris has paid his dues for the Rhianna thing and think he should be forgiven (i.e. accolades, reward shows, etc). That cancellation of the MJ tribute Chris was going to do was the last straw. Every current R&B songstress has a song with him, vets like Tank, Jon B. Kelly Rowland and Ciara defend him. I think they are (wrongly) trying to over correct the perceived injustice Chris has been going through by outright saying he's better than MJ.
Nobody said he's outright better...

Catalogue? Can you honestly say that he has a better catalogue than Usher? I still argue that C.Browns catalogue barely contends with Ginuwine's.

2nd best performer? Are ya'll that impressed with some backflips? :mjlol:

Just off the top here are MUCH better performers:
  • OG performers
    • Chuck Berry
    • James Brown
    • Michael Jackson
    • Usher (honarable mention)
  • Actual musician and singers
    • Stevie
    • Little Richard
    • Ray Charles
    • Prince
    • Hendrix
Aint nothing legendary about a Breezy concert, other than taking pictures with a bunch of birds:mjlol:

Name a “Chris Brown” move. Thats all that needs to be said.
Not having a signature move doesn’t mean his bag isn’t deeper than MJs. Chris can lock into to different elements of dance such as bboying and acrobatics as well. I don’t recall MJ doing any of that. When I say his bag is deeper, I’m talking about the versatility. That’s why I said I can see why the comparison exists.

If you can't have an unbiased conversation, we could just stop this conversation now, but I actually like every artist you mentioned so I can have an unbiased conversation I'm sorry, but usher isn't a better performer than Chris Brown. Chris Brown is a better dancer and has better stage presence and energy Chris Brown total catalogue is better than ushers but usher do got the best album between the two (confessions) ..Chuck Berry is the king of rock 'n' roll but Chris Brown is definitely a better performer than Chuck Berry due to the culture advancing and dance will be more complex compared to the 50s and Stevie Wonder is my R&B goat. He is a better overall artist than Chris Brown but as a performer, Ray Charles is a better artist than Chris Brown and his musically better but strictly as a performer, Chris Brown is better that's why I said total package

don’t get me wrong Chris brown a talented mf :whoa:

His mj performance at the bet awards was dope and outside mj impersonators nobody arguably can do that. The crying during man in the mirror was fake imo. That was a year after he lumped Rihanna up but he still killed that performance until that part :martin:

Mike after Bad started harmonizing more than outright sing too.

Does Chris make better music than Mike, absolutely not.

Can Chris do certain things better than Mike…

Yes :manny:

So Michael is getting extra credit for being first, not necessarily better...

I literally said he didn't invent the moonwalk or robot so that means he wasn't first.

MJ is better and you know this because when @spliz posted some MJ songs you didn't reply to him with any Chris Brown songs.

You think Chris is better than prove it. Post the songs you think are so great.

You literally saying that emphasized my point. You acknowledge he didn't invent dance moves, same as Chris, but "there was no one like Michael before Michael". You're giving him credit for being first to capture the imagination, not necessarily be better at dancing.

I already spoke to why I didn't entertain him, but y'all keep using catalogue in the "more talented" argument when catalogue is more than talent. Y'all are acting like MJ is One Man Band Man.
