The more mainstream something get the less power we do have. But that's a great example of us using our power when we're concentrated enough and leverage it. A bunch of small shows of power in small settings adds up in theory.

Ultimately it's a numbers game in many respects. But unfortunately a lot of us just want and genuinely believe they can assimilate and/or want to live their lives and are not about that life.

This is what I've learned as I have gotten older. It's the math of it all that we lose with. Collectively, we're only 13%. From the business perspective black people collectively are VERY valuable as an investment to the people in charge because everyone consumes our culture, but market/audience wise we don't matter.....I think a lot about this.
