Yes. The point is to reduce the availability of the deadliest weapons known to man.

And that’s my point. If we want less gun violence, we need to reduce the availability of guns. Either through legislation or other means.

Certain states require a specific amount of firearm training before you can buy a handgun or conceal carry. The training must come from a licensed/certified company or trainer.

Murder is understood to be illegal.
Gun ownership is not illegal nor does it make one a criminal by owning one (unless it is acquired Illegally or the person is prohibited from possessing.).
The instant they chose to use their firearm in an illegal way THEN they become a criminal.

We have tons of laws on the books regarding firearms. Making more is fukking pointless and only provides impediments to non-criminal having firearms. People break these laws not because they are easy to break, but because they don't fear the consequences.
